About The Conference

Our speakers will discuss which factors help build a long-term, sustainable business. How do companies rise above quarterly obsession, and market volatility to focus on building long-term core strengths that create strategic differentiation and superior value? How do companies ensure a progressive corporate culture and an innovative mind-set to solve the trickiest of challenges? How does a company become the “best” in its sector?

Symposium Format

Our summits are unique. They do not involve speeches or Powerpoint presentations. They are open and down-to-earth discussions between the panel speakers, with heavy participation from the audience. Our format is relaxed, akin to a coffee-table style chat. We receive rave reviews about our format both from speakers and attendees.

Discussion Approach

While we will stay within the thematic guidelines, our discussions are spontaneous and may flow in interesting directions. Our unscripted format often creates "insightful learning opportunities."

Since we are a discussion forum, we facilitate a lively, meaningful discourse between our speakers and attendees. We follow Chatham house rules.

Symposium Agenda

Registration begins at 11:30 AM. The conference begins with lunch (seating for lunch at 11:45 AM), followed by two consecutive 60 minute panel discussions. The conference is followed by private and general receptions.

Conference Evolving List of Discussion Topics (Updated December 18)
Theme: "Building a Long-Term Business"

We are developing the discussion questions for this year’s Leadership & Management Conference. We will add/revise the topics based on the feedback of our panel speakers and registrants.

First Session: "Choosing the Right Business Model"
  • What is the definition of a business model and how should a company develop/crystallize its business model?

  • How should the business model drive decision making? How does a business model contribute to long-term sustainability? How do companies test and validate their business models?
  • How does a business model differentiate a company in the marketplace, and help generate greater success with customers?
Second Session: "Reinvention"
  • How important is it for a company to reinvent itself at a regular basis? How dependent is long-term sustainability on regular reinvention? As companies reinvent themselves how do they determine what should and should not change?
  • What are the challenges and opportunities associated with reinvention? How should a company reframe its mindset and culture, its organization structure, its core capabilities including systems and processes, and most importantly its talent pool?
