Symposium Format
Our symposiums are intensive discussions between speakers and attendees, with the goal of having 80% of attendees contribute. It is an ambitious goal, but when we achieve it, it creates a special experience.
At the Houston Strategy Forum, we facilitate a closed-door, no-press, Chatham House Rule safe zone for candid discussions. Real discussions. No fluff. No speeches. No PowerPoints.
Why Attend?
Engage with fellow CEOs in a candid, thought-provoking, high-intensity discussion. Tackle difficult challenges, assess emerging risks and opportunities, and examine critical strategic trade-offs.
At the Houston Strategy Forum, we have real discussions — no fluff.
About the Houston Strategy Forum
The Houston Strategy Forum is a discussion-driven executive forum and has hosted conversations with the who’s who of CEOs, executives, and senior functional leaders for over fifteen years.
The Houston Strategy Forum’s mission is to provide a venue for real-world management and leadership insights to our attendees. We focus on strategy and execution challenges faced by mid to large companies. Our purpose is to provide executives with a discussion forum to share ideas and learn from each other. We cut across industry sectors and organizational functions to facilitate cross-pollination of ideas.
Our events are unique. No speeches or PowerPoint presentations. They are open and down-to-earth discussions with our speakers. Our format is a relaxed, fireside-style chat. In addition, our goal is to get a majority of the attendees contributing to the discussion. When that happens — it creates absolute magic! We receive rave reviews about our format both from speakers and attendees.
Since there is no speech or presentation, the preparation time for speakers is minimal and involves only a 45-minute preparatory meeting. We share our questions and theme ahead of time with our speakers.
Our audience is diverse, representing different industry sectors, functional roles, and levels in the organization. It is a mature audience and appreciates and actively participates in the high-level strategic discourse at our events.
Our speakers share their business insights, management philosophies, business challenges, strategies they are developing and how they are executing their strategies to drive success.
We create a safe zone for our discussions by not inviting the press and following Chatham House rules. Over the years, we have had top CEOs and executives share their deepest thoughts and feelings that you would never hear in a regular conference. We respect and value that interaction greatly — it is what makes us the preeminent discussion forum.
